I started as a User Experience Designer in 2003, and I want you tell you what I’ve learned
I’ve always known what I wanted to do (though I didn’t always know the right title): Be a UX Designer.
My journey has taken me from a hobbyist, to an owner of a design agency, to a designer at various startups, medium and large SaaS companies, and most recently, as a UX Manager at Amazon. I’ve also worked through most of my career as a freelance UX designer.
I’ve learned a lot about what you should and should-not do. I’ve also learned so much in between knowledge, such as how to fight imposter syndrome, how to present to executives, and everything in between.
I’m a self-taught designer and take pride in being empowered to learn something new.
And now? I want to share all that information with you, the aspiring UX designer — I’ve been there, and I’m excited to see where you go.
